In 2021 Europe + Asia Event Forum (EFEA) will mark its 10th anniversary. Since 2012 event industry in Russia starts its business season with Europe + Asia Event Forum (EFEA) as EFEA sets trends and topics for discussion for the whole market. On 27-29 January 2021 delegates fr om Russia, CIS & EAEU countries, Europe and ASEAN region will gather in St. Petersburg (Russia) to collaborate on the key topic of the EFEA 2021 — |EVENT UPLINK| Cooperation as a strategy in uncertain circumstances.

EFEA is the first forum in Russia for events industry professionals, which traditionally at the beginning of a business year brings together the leaders of the event community, experts of business and incentive tourism in one place. Throughout its ten-year history, the Forum has turned fr om a discussion platform into a space wh ere ideas are born and trends are set for the year ahead.

“EFEA has reached the status of a prestigious event for event industry specialists. Starting the new business season, EFEA represents an opportunity to summarize the outcome of previous years, to get up-to-date information on the industry condition and to determine the vector of its development,” says Chairman of the RF CCI Committee, General Director of Expocentre Sergey Bednov.

|EVENT UPLINK| Cooperation as a strategy in uncertain circumstances is the key topic of the Forum. The topic was not chosen at random. According to the Grand Unified Theory in physics, different groups of forces and interactions may be combined into a single force under extreme circumstances, laying down the foundation for further evolution. Only by joining together the crisis can be overcome. Under conditions of uncertainty, events could become a single hub (UpLink) for communities and industries union in order to further development and strategies formulation of in today's ever-changing environment.

“The main topics of EFEA will be the most relevant issues in an environment of uncertainty, including sales strategy and marketing, industry digitalization, crisis planning and risk analysis. We will discuss whether long-term planning is now possible for companies in the industry. A particular focus will be on ecosystems creation and communities’ union,” says Chairman of EFEA Organizing Committee Daria Ostrovskaya.

Meeting of RF CCI’s Exhibition, Fair and Congress Department, Autograph session with the authors of 2020’s novelties, EVENT-THERAPY marathon, EVENT EXPO and more events are scheduled as a part of EFEA program.

The Russian Convention Bureau traditionally acts as a partner of the forum and invites all members and partners of the Association to take part in this landmark event for the industry. The RCB also plans to hold its own events at the Forum site.
