The Management Board of the Russian Convention Bureau met in Moscow to discuss the main issues such as presenting Target Indicators of the Organization Development Strategy for 2020–2024, choosing mechanisms to support the Bureau, admitting new members and other practical arrangements.

‘Roscongress Foundation is one of co-founders of the Russian Convention Bureau; we are interested in development of event industry in our country, so we provide extensive support to our foreign partners that hold largescale international congress and exhibition events in Russia. Today many cities have necessary infrastructure base to hold international events, and activities of the Russian Convention Bureau directly enable social and economic development of regions,’ Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board and Director of the Roscongress Foundation, noted.

‘Currently the Russian Convention Bureau has strategic cooperation agreements with 20 Russian regions and 16 leading companies, including the Federal Agency for Tourism, Delovaya Rossiya, International News Agency ‘Rossiya Segodnya’, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Roskachestvo and many others. At the moment Russia keeps up with other countries in the event market successfully. It’s not only attraction of investments and development of regions for our country, but also establishment of venues to exchange experience and best practices in leading economic sectors,’ Alexey Kalachev, Director of the Russian Convention Bureau, says.

The Russian Convention Bureau provides ‘one-stop-shop service’ for organizers of international congress events. The Russian Convention Bureau was founded in 2017 with the assistance of the Government of the Russian Federation to be an implementation tool of state policy. The mission of the Russian Convention Bureau is shaping a positive image of Russia as a country with favorable business and investment climates through development and support of the national event industry. A key line of activity of the Russian Convention Bureau – attracting a large number of international congress events to the RF – enables accomplishment of national and strategic objectives of the Russian Federation.

The Russian Convention Bureau has been co-founded by the Roscongress Foundation, the Russian Export Center, the R&C Research and Exhibition Center and the International Foundation of Technologies and Investments.

A renewed composition of the Management Board of the Russian Convention Bureau was appointed in the framework of the General Meeting of members of the Russian Convention Bureau on June 27, 2019. The renewed Management Board now includes representatives of leading players of the congress and exhibition market: VDNH JSC, EXPOCENTRE JSC, Ural Exhibition Centre JSC (Yekaterinburg Expo), Interservice LLC, Congress International LLC, International Trade&Integration LLC.
